In Egyptian mythology, Bastet is an ancient solar and war goddess, worshipped at least since the Second Dynasty.

Egyptian, olive greenish/blue faience amulet, the goddess is depicted in a seated position. The necklace measures 24.5" long, and has 14kt gold beads, lapis, carnelian, turquoise and other new beads.
