22k Gold Ancient Egyptian Armana Leaf Pendant
Wear History!
In this necklace We used an ancient Egyptian, Armana period faience leaf that was typically used in elaborate
collars or necklaces and set it into 22kt yellow gold with granulation on a slightly domed pendant. The top
of the pendant is an Egyptian style lotus that has been set with a faceted, golden yellow (1.2 carat) sapphire.
The lotus was created using the same cloisonne technique used by the ancient Egyptians. The goldwork is set
with hand cut lapis, green turquoise and ivory (from piano keys). There is a very thin hairline fracture in
the leaf about 1/3 of the way down. In ancient Egyptian mythology the lotus was the symbol for re-birth.
The pendant can be unhooked from the 24 1/2" necklace that is beaded with yellow sapphires, lapis, turquoise
heshie and gold tube beads, the tiny tubes are 14kt and the large ones are 22kt gold. The pendant can also
be put on an ancient style chain that we can make for you, or on one of your own.
The pendant has 23.8 grams of 22kt gold and measures 2 3/4" (7 cm) from the top of the lotus. The leaf portion of the
pendant measures 1 5/8" (4.2 cm).
A great addition to any collection. This is an excellent piece you will enjoy for generations to come.
A certificate of authenticity is included.
